England Netball has bid against Australia to win the hosting rights for the World Netball Series in 2015. To show their support for this objective, representatives from the netballing countries in Europe were invited to attend this year's championships which were held on 19-21 November 2010 at the Echo Arena Stadium in Liverpool. The top six netballing nations, Australia, England, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand and South Africa competed against each other in IFNA's new netball format, Fastnet. Games are played in six-minute quarters with unlimited substitutions. Each team nominates a power play quarter in which every goal scores double points, while successful shots from outside the circle throughout the game are worth two points.

Judy, Jodi and Tal, or to give them their official titles, Israel Netball's President, Founder and Secretary, and Tournament Coordinator, respectively, were privileged to attend this exciting 3-day event. Given VIP treatment by England Netball from the moment they arrived, our representatives made excellent use of this golden opportunity for networking with numerous old friends and making new netball contacts. In addition, they thoroughly enjoyed a total of 20 fast-moving, closely fought matches, where New Zealand, the defending champions, won gold against England with a 28-26 win, having beaten Jamaica in the qualifiers by 29-28.

Israel Netball receives a huge amount of support from England Netball and would like to express their sincere thanks to them once again for their endless encouragement and assistance!
