Our president Judy was privileged to attend the 2007 IFNA congress in Auckland, New Zealand, where the 2007 World Netball Championships took place.
At congress both Singapore and Melbourne Australia made their bids to host the 2011 World Netball Championships. The impassioned plea by two players of the Singapore national team succeeded in winning the members over and the vote went in their favour.
To be held in July 2011, the World Netball Championships promise to be no less exciting than the previous championships that culminated in the final match when Australia beat their arch-rival New Zealand.
In our continued efforts to maintain our progress and keep our name on the international netball map, Israel Netball plans to send at least one representative to the beautiful country of Singapore to attend congress and enjoy watching the best teams in the world play our favourite game.
