League Regulations
ISRAEL NETBALL – LEAGUE REGULATIONS
1. RULES OF THE GAME
All matches shall be played to the IFNA Rules of Netball currently in force at the time of the game, except where specific game Regulations apply.
2. REGISTRATION OF SQUAD MEMBERS
2.1
The maximum number of players allowed in a squad is
fourteen
(14)
2.2
Each member must register on the Israel Netball website.
2.3
Cost per member is NIS 50.
2.4
A Squad Sheet for each team must be completed and lodged with the league coordinator no later than 1 day prior to each game.
2.5
Each team member should wear their league t-shirt, which will be provided by the league.
2.6
Upon closing of registration, the League coordinator, shall email city coordinators a copy of the team squad sheet, which shall consist of up to 14 registered players.
2.7
Each registered player must pass a stress test, and pass on the results to the city coordinator.
2.8
Each player should be at least 18 years old.
2.9
Upon receipt of payment and a copy of the stress test each player shall be issued a player's card.
3. BALLS, BIBS & PLAYING KIT
3.1 Whenever possible, Israe Netball will provide the match ball.
3.2 All players must wear positional bibs, and teams must have a spare set in a different
colour in case of clash of colours.
4. TEAM SHEETS
Team Sheets must be completed and lodged with the league coordinator no later than 30 min. before the scheduled start of each match. Team sheet shall consist of a min. of 7 registered players who will be playing in the match (or be on the team bench).
5. COURT PROCEDURE
There shall be no team march on, anthems or exchange of gifts prior to the start of each game.
6. MATCH POINTS
6.1 Match points will be awarded as follows:
5 points for a win
3 points for a draw
2 points to the losing team if they lose by 5 goals or less
1 point to the losing team if they score over 50% of the goals scored by the winning
team
6.2 Each team shall play every other team on the league twice (double round-robin).
6.3 Upon completion of the double round-robin one of the following shall happen (to be
decided by league coordinator):
1. Playoffs shall be held.
2. Team with the highest score shall be declared the winner; in the event of
a tie, a final match shall be played for first and second place.
6.4
The named city coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that her team fulfils all the fixtures at the correct times and for advising her players of their match times/dates. Failure to turn up for a match at the stated time will result in an automatic 15-0 defeat, deduction of 1 point. If a team fails to turn up 2 weeks in succession or three times in the season they will be withdrawn from the league.
7. TABLE OFFICIALS
For each match there should be at least one time keeper and one scorer.
8. UMPIRES
8.1 Games shall be umpired according to the IFNA rules. Each game should have at least 2 umpires umpiring the game.
8.2 An umpire’s decision is final.
9.
LIABILITY
Israel Netball and the host club, accept no liability whatsoever in respect
of personal loss or injury which players, officials or spectators may sustain.
Each player should have medical insurance covering playing netball at any court, all over the country.
